The Wig Lady was started when a customer/friend of LeeAnn's had a reoccurrence of cancer. She had never seen a decent wig before and decided she must go with her to find one knowing that she would not get better if she did not look good because that was very important to her. It was a very devastating experience as they found poor selection, lack of professional help, lack of privacy and unsanitary conditions. This started the wheels turning in LeeAnn's thoughts as to why there were not better options. Shortly there after in October 2000 she started with twelve wigs and that immediately started changing into much more. Today The Wig Lady has hundreds of wigs, hairpieces and head coverings for females in stock. Little did she know in 2000 all the other situations she would come to know. Females of all ages dealing with alopecia and other immune disorders, trichotillomania, genetic hair loss, skin disorders such as seborrhea and psoriasis, burn and accident victims to mention a few. In the first year LeeAnn started training extensively with top companies to gain as much knowledge as possible to have the best options available for the different situations. LeeAnn is very suited for this job as she has been a hair dresser for thirty years. She also worked for Matrix for several years traveling the country teaching hair color and conducting seminars. That expertise is necessary when fitting a client with a partial piece or wig. If it does not match it does not work. We work on an appointment basis for your privacy so that we are able to help you select the best option for your own situation. There is no obligation with an appointment.
